Short-term Therapy

What keeps us stuck in old, limiting patterns of behavior?  Often it’s a belief that we don’t deserve better; that we’re meant to suffer needlessly because a way of thinking was programmed in our psyche when we too young to do anything other than accept the blame or shame associated with the event. In many such situations, it’s possible in a single appointment to change that belief and release the negative energy of the emotions that surround it. Then, having cleared out the negative imprint, you can make a fresh, positive contract with your inner-self and utilizing a technique that facilitates communication between the conscious and sub-conscious, reinforce the brain’s acceptance of the agreement.

The session follows five steps:

  1. Identifying the old, limited belief
  2. Hypnotherapy to relax and open the sub-conscious
  3. Releasing negative energy associated with the old belief
  4. Making a new contract with your inner source of wellness
  5. Using a technique called Psych-K to reinforce the agreement

Short-term therapy is not a substitute for traditional talk therapy and/or other therapeutic interventions such as hypnotherapy, EMDR, and Yoga-therapy. But for many less deeply rooted emotional blocks, it is an effective treatment.  Hypnosis can illuminate the connection between the past and the present by providing access to the sub-conscious and revealing feelings that have been dormant or disavowed. By identifying and understanding the personal and spiritual powers residing in our energy centers (charkas), we can balance mind and body and connect to the core of our persona, the inner self that knows that the sum of who we are totals much more than the negative feelings that often play out on the surface. Finally, by creating “cross-talk” between the right and left hemispheres of the brain, a whole-brain balance is created to dramatically reduce resistance to changing negative beliefs that often offer debilitating neurotic payouts that can affect our mood, relationships, performance, self-esteem and even our physical health.

An adaptation of the process can be done successfully over the telephone when an office session is not possible.
